Steven B. Jacobs is the founder of Trion Law and a commercial litigator with nearly fifteen years of experience handling complex, high-stakes disputes and advising businesses, founders, executives, investors, and individuals on litigation and legal strategy.
Steve has briefed and argued cases at multiple levels of the New York state and appellate court systems and has handled sophisticated litigation in federal and state courts. His practice has included complex commercial disputes, contract litigation, business torts, fraud claims, founder and investor disputes, fiduciary-duty matters, defamation and reputational claims, emergency litigation, motion practice, appellate work, and strategic counseling.
Before founding Trion Law, Steve developed the skills and judgment associated with sophisticated commercial litigation practice in the New York litigation departments of two international law firms.
In addition to litigation, Steve has acted as corporate counsel for a wide range of companies, including technology companies, startups, closely held businesses, and investment-related ventures. He regularly advises clients on contracts, negotiations, dispute avoidance, governance issues, risk management, and business-critical decisions where litigation risk and commercial judgment intersect.
